Maybe you’re in a season where it feels like God is pressing, separating, or stripping away things you thought you needed. Maybe you’re wondering, Lord, what are You doing? 😭

I’m currently reading The Anna Anointing and Dark Night of the Soul, and God has been connecting so many things for me.

One of the biggest things I’m learning is that we have to cultivate our own oil.

Anna’s life was marked by prayer, fasting, worship, faithfulness and consistently seeking the presence of God. She experienced loss, but she allowed that loss to lead her into deeper alignment with Him. And when her moment came, she didn’t miss it. She had oil.

That challenged me because sometimes the pressing we’re asking God to remove may be producing something in us that comfort never could.

Sometimes the waiting is teaching us how to remain faithful when the answer is delayed. Sometimes the separation is making room for deeper intimacy with Him.

And maybe that’s where you are too.

I’m learning not to despise every uncomfortable season or rush to get out of it. Instead, I’m asking: Lord, what are You producing in me here?

I want to be someone who has oil when the moment comes, not because I borrowed someone else’s encounter with God, but because I learned to seek Him for myself.

ā€œYou anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.ā€ Psalm 23:5

May we be people who keep our lamps burning, remain faithful in the waiting, and stay close enough to Him that when our moment comes… we’re ready. šŸ”„šŸŖ”šŸ”„

Maybe this is for the one who is tired.

What God is strengthening in you today may become part of the testimony that helps someone else stand tomorrow. So don’t give up. Keep going.

ā€œTake a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.ā€ Hebrews 12:12–13 NLT

Sometimes we stay in the wilderness longer than necessary because we keep resisting what God is asking us to surrender.

Israel’s wilderness reminds us that unbelief and disobedience have consequences. Stop circling what God is asking you to release.

šŸ•ŠļøLet go. Let God. Trust Him. Obey Him. Move forward. šŸ•Šļø

ā€œTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.ā€ Proverbs 3:5

There’s something about asking God to show you what He wants you to see as you read… and then watching certain words come alive on the page.

The road may feel narrow. The pressing may be uncomfortable. But there is purpose in the process. And when you come through the other side, you realize He was drawing you deeper all along.

ā€œBut small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.ā€
Matthew 7:14 (AMP)
