Rainy skies couldn’t dampen the SPMS spirit today!

We are so proud of our faculty and staff who spent part of their day spreading a little fall cheer to local families and businesses throughout our community.

At SPMS, we encourage our students to lead with kindness—and our staff leads by example! Today was all about bringing smiles, giving back, and sharing a little happiness along the way.

A BIG thank you to Hardesty Farms and Roberts Family Farm for donating some of the beautiful fall decorations we were able to share. We appreciate our amazing community partners!

Rain or shine, it’s always a good day to spread a little kindness!

SPMS families, our 2nd Annual Greenwave Fit Fest is happening Thursday, October 1st! We are ready for a day full of FUN, FITNESS, TEAM SPIRIT, COMPETITION, and GREENWAVE PRIDE! 🎉

💰 OUR GOAL: $25,000! 💰

And if we reach our goal…

🏫😂 DR. PHILLIPS WILL HAVE TO WORK FROM THE ROOF OF THE SCHOOL FOR ONE WHOLE DAY!!! 😂🏫

A huge THANK YOU to Mr. Tim Jackson and MC Storage for showing some love to our SPMS teachers and staff!

Tim generously treated our staff to some delicious treats, and we are so appreciative of his kindness and support. It means so much to have local businesses like MC Storage who take the time to recognize and support the people who serve our students every day.

Our 8th grade students had an exciting opportunity to learn from an engineer with the Department of Transportation! 🚧👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

Students learned about what engineers do, the many ways engineering impacts our everyday lives, and the steps of the engineering design process. This hands-on learning experience is the perfect lead-up to our first big engineering project next week! 🌪️🏠

Next week, our students will put their new knowledge to the test as they design and build a model house that can withstand the forces of a hurricane. We can’t wait to see their creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills in action!

We are off to a great start! Science has been experimenting/collecting data and testing engineering principles. ELA reviewed genres through collaborative games. Social Studies jumped into world economics. Roll waves!

As we get ready to cheer on our Greenwaves this fall, please remember the following notes to help make Meade County High School athletic events run as smoothly as possible:

𝗢𝗻-𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀
Our parking lots have changed with our construction project. Please see the Game Day Parking Map for an overview of our parking lots and entry locations. Please note that no parking will be available in the construction areas or at the bus garage.

𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗙𝗮𝗻
All athletic events will continue to use GoFan for ticket purchases. Cash will not be accepted at the gate. Credit or debit cards can be used at entry, or you can purchase tickets in advance through the GoFan app or website. All tickets are $10.

𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆
All students in 8th grade or younger must be accompanied by an adult to enter any athletic event. Students in this age group without an adult will be turned away at the gate.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us create a safe, smooth, and enjoyable experience for everyone!
