Special request at bottom of this post.

Many thanks to everyone who assisted in the organization and ex*****on of last night’s alumni association banquet. It was a great time to be had by all to include the recognition of the class of 1975 celebrating their golden anniversary.

We had members from the class of 1951 and 1952 along with several members from the class of 1965.

Also, it was an honor to recognize the LH Powell memorial award recipient in this year’s class of 2025, Miss Logan Compton.

Additionally, we recognized and inducted the 24th recipient into the alumni Association Hall of Fame, the honorable Mr. JEFFREY GREER.

First, let me thank you for attending last night‘s banquet. I am writing this message to request one favor if you’re receiving this.

My name is Cletis Evans and I am writing a story for the Meade County Messenger on the banquet last night.

Unfortunately, in my many capacities, I was unable to take photographs of the event and capture your stories so I need your help.

If you can be so kindly and send me photographs of you and your classmates or family members that were at the event, it would be greatly appreciated. However, I need you to do it a certain way.

Please pass this text message as a whole, just copy and paste, and send it to people you know who took pictures or video.

My email address is:
[email protected]

Photos that are emailed will keep their quality which would enhance the picture being produced in a newspaper. If they are sent via text, it may be difficult to use.

If you send me an email with your photos and make them full size, do not compress them, please include the full name of each person in the photograph from left to right and the year that they graduated.

Also in the email, tell me what you really enjoyed about the banquet and let me know if I have permission to use a specific quote of your own words. I’d love to hear your thoughts on what it was like to see your classmates again.

Tell me how important this alumni association is and give me one thing you would do to improve upon it.

Finally, thank you all again so much for coming and being part of a great evening with friends and family.

Well, I can make no promises that every single thing will get accepted by the Messenger, I will do my best to include it all.

Lastly, I need everything submitted by tonight so that I can finish writing the story and it should be in the messenger not this coming week but the following week.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

We want to take the time to congratulate one of our own…. Meade County High School Alum Kristin Halbert Hibbard on this very well deserved honor!! She returned to MCHS to live out her dreams of teaching today’s students and, in doing so, inspires others to reach their full potential and achieve their own dreams. Meade County has always known what a treasure we have in Kristin and now others see it too. We have no doubt her hard work will continue to shape the future for MCHS students and our community for years to come!! Congrats on a job well done!!
