After 37 years of dedicated service as an Extension Agent, we are excited to celebrate Jennifer Bridge and all she has contributed to the University of Kentucky Extension and the Meade County community.

Jennifer’s presence has definitely been missed around the office. Her knowledge, dedication, friendship, and the impact she has made over the years have meant so much to our Extension family and this community.

Please join us as we celebrate Jennifer’s 37 years of service and wish her the very best as she begins her new position with UK.

Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST.

King Arthur Baking Contest is happening today at the Meade County Extension Office. Judging starts at 1:35 pm.

Do you have a favorite bar cookie recipe? Put your baking skills to the test in the 2026 King Arthur Baking Contest!

📅 Date: Tuesday, July 21
🕜 Entry Check-In: No later than 1:30 PM
📍 Location: Meade County Extension Office, 1041 Ekron Rd., Brandenburg, KY

Contest Details:
🍫 Submit 3 identical bar cookies of your choice
👧👨 Open to Youth (Ages 6–18) and Adults (18+)
🌾 Entries must be made using King Arthur Flour (bring the opened bag or UPC code)
📝 Include a legible recipe and completed entry form with your submission.

🏆 Prizes include King Arthur gift cards and rosette ribbons for both Youth and Adult divisions!

Whether you've baked, canned, quilted, crafted, gardened, or created something special, we encourage everyone to showcase their talents at the fair!

📌 Important Reminder: Please keep your claim ticket in a safe place. You'll need it when picking up your exhibits so they can be returned to the correct owner.

Welcome to Our Office, Kasey Haynes!

Please join us in welcoming Kasey Haynes to the Meade County Extension Office! Kasey is our new Program Assistant for Family and Consumer Science and helping with 4-H.

Kasey is already a familiar face to many in our community, and we’re excited to have her as part of our team. We know she’ll be a wonderful asset to our office, and we look forward to all she will accomplished.
