Stokes Music Camp

And just like that, Stokes Music Camp 2026 has come to an end. 🌲🎶

From the first walking tours, wildlife safety, icebreakers, auditions, and placement exams, to full days of ensembles, chambers, activities, recitals, showcases, cabin inspections, silent dinner, campfire, line dancing, and so many memories in between.. this summer was filled with music, laughter, growth, and community.

We watched our campers make new friends, try new things, support one another, and create something meaningful together. Whether it was Concert Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Rock Band, Stokes Sings, Musical Theater, solo recitals, or the Gala Concert, every moment reminded us why this place is so special.

To our campers: thank you for bringing your energy, talent, kindness, and joy to Stokes.
To our families: thank you for trusting us with your kiddos and making this experience possible.

To our counselors, faculty, and NJSOC staff: thank you for helping make camp feel like home.

We are sad to say goodbye, but so grateful for everything this summer gave us. The memories will stay with us long after camp ends.

We love you, Stokes family. We hope to see you next year in 2027! 🌲🎵

A little look into Activity Group D: **Survival of the Fittest!** 🌲

Our campers have been making the most of every moment, from outdoor activities to rehearsals, performances, and everything in between. Last night, we had an amazing concert from our jazz and rock bands for the campers, and we hope you were able to tune in. It was such a great night of music and energy!

Today, the fun continues with our Musical Theater Showcase, and we cannot wait to see our campers shine again.

Tomorrow, our campers head home, and while we are so sad to see them go, we know the memories, friendships, music, and Stokes love will stay with us long after camp ends.

It’s hard to believe we’re getting so close to the end of Week 2. 🌲🎶

Yesterday was a full day of music, memories, and final preparations as our campers continued getting ready for rock band, jazz band, and our other ensemble performances. The energy around camp has been building all week, and we cannot wait to see everything come together.

We also had a practice round for silent dinner… and let’s just say it was very interesting. We tried to break them, but they held strong! Between that, cabin inspections, and another full day of rehearsals, there was never a dull moment at Stokes.

To end the night, we were blessed with a beautiful faculty recital. It was such a special opportunity for our campers to hear our faculty share their artistry, passion, and love for music.

Cabin inspection results are in… but who won? We’ll find out tonight. 👀

As we head toward our final day on Saturday, our hearts are full. We are so proud of our campers, so grateful for this community, and so thankful for every family that made this week possible.

Let’s keep the Stokes magic going.

A little rain could never stop the Stokes fun. 🌧️🌲🎶

Even with a stormy day, our campers kept the energy going with indoor activities led by the NJSOC staff, along with a full day of ensembles, chamber rehearsals, and music-making.

We ended the night with our counselor recital, and it was such a special treat for the campers to see the people who have been caring for them all week share their own love and passion for music. Moments like that remind us how meaningful this community is, both on and off the stage.

Tonight, the magic continues with our faculty recital, and we can’t wait for another evening of music together.

Another day, another Stokes memory! 🌲🎶

Today was a big first day of ensembles and music-making for our campers. From rehearsals to activities, everyone jumped right into the Stokes experience and started building the connections that make this week so special.

We also had team building with the NJSOC staff, which definitely kept things interesting in the best way! Our campers worked together, laughed together, and continued learning what it means to support one another as a community.

We ended the day with line dancing and campfire, bringing everyone together for music, fun, and those classic Stokes moments we love.

We are so grateful for another beautiful day at camp and can’t wait to keep the week going!

Wow, what a fun day yesterday! 🎉

Our Week 2 campers arrived and jumped right into the fun with a water slide, Red Light, Green Light, ultimate frisbee, and so much more! We then headed over to the Longhouse to watch the World Cup Final together. Between auditions, activities, and plenty of community bonding, it was the perfect start to an exciting new week!

We are so happy to welcome our Week 2 campers, and we cannot wait to create memories together that will last forever. We love you, Stokes family! 💙

Week 1 Gala Concert ✅🌲🎶

Yesterday our campers shared everything they have been working on this week through performances from Concert Band, Rock Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Stokes Sings. Seeing all of their hard work, growth, and joy come together on stage was the perfect way to close out an amazing first week.

We are so sad to say goodbye to our Week 1 campers, but so grateful for the music, memories, and energy they brought to Stokes. This week reminded us why we love this place so much.

To our Week 1 families, thank you for sharing your kiddos with us and for making this experience possible. We love our Stokes community more than words can say.

Now we get ready to keep the music going with our Week 2 campers and continuing campers. Let’s do it all again!
