We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Vince Perella.
Vince was the owner of The Printing Center in Sparta, but to all of us at Flatbrook Tap House, he was so much more than a local business owner or a customer. Vince was part of our Flatbrook family.
Long before we became the owners, Vince and his wife, Jeanne, were spending their Friday nights at Flatbrook when Bruce owned the Tap House. And when we took over, thankfully, that tradition continued. You could count on seeing Vince and Jeanne just about every Friday night.
Vince wasn’t just a customer who walked through our doors. He was part of Friday night.
There were jokes, stories, laughter, dancing, songs playing on the jukebox and so many good times. Vince and Jeanne were the kind of customers every restaurant and bar hopes to have, the people you genuinely look forward to seeing and who make the place feel like home.
When we first learned that Vince was sick, our hearts broke. So many people were praying for him and hoping for the best because that is how loved he was.
Our hearts and deepest condolences go out to Jeanne, his son Chris, and the entire Perella family. We hope you know how much Vince meant to all of us and how many wonderful memories he gave us over the years.
Friday nights just won’t be the same without him.
So tonight, in honor of Vince, come raise a glass and celebrate a truly wonderful man. Have a Mount Gay and ginger or an unsweetened iced tea in his memory. Put a song on the jukebox, tell a joke, dance a little, laugh with the people around you, and enjoy the night the way Vince always did.
Vince, we love you. We will miss you more than words can say. Thank you for all the Friday nights, all the laughs, and all the memories.
You will forever be a part of Flatbrook Tap House, and you will never be forgotten. ❤️
