"College remediation often
comes at the greatest cost to the students
themselves, and students who enroll in
remedial classes are far more likely to drop
out than those who do not. Of the students
in the class of 1992 who took three or four
remedial courses in college, only 19 percent
received a bachelor’s degree by 2000."
Of course statistics can be skewed to prove any point - however - I have taught Remedial Reading and Writing at the collegiate level and have seen first hand how some students struggle with basic college level reading.
If you know of a high school senior, current college student, or any adult seeking to improve their reading and writing skills, please feel free to share this information about my upcoming Reading and Writing Refresher Course for adults.
Classes start 3/9 on the campus of Raritan Valley Community College!
