Sharing some AWESOME NEWS about one of our local GT students!!!! Chase Wilson, a 5th grade GT student, recently won the Stock Market Game in his division. He competed against teams of 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders across the state and came in first out of 253 teams. To win the game, Chase learned about stocks and the market in his GT classroom, and then invested in and bought and sold stock with virtual money. He ended up making over $14,000 in virtual money in a little over 6 months. He has received a $125 check from Economics Arkansas, as well as a banner that is being displayed at the Intermediate School. As a bonus, he also had lunch provided by the GT department, and Dr. Duffie, Dr. Wood, and Mr. Bridges were in attendance.
