Happy Last Week of School before Winter Break, and of 2024!!

☝️Number 1 and most important, we are going to do our best to "Embrace The Chaos" of the season. Did you know that this year both the first night of Hanukkah and Christmas Day are on the same day?

Below are a couple of "clips" I took from an article I was reading on the web. Seems roughly every 15 years Hanukkah and Christmas/Christmas Eve line up.
Using online calendars chronicling the historical dates of Jewish holidays, I compiled more than 100 years of Hanukkah data. Since 1900, the first night of Hanukkah has fallen on Christmas Eve three times (with 2016 being the fourth). Hanukkah has started on Christmas Day four times in the same period.
With eight total occurrences in 117 years, Hanukkah starts on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day roughly once every 15 years. Not so rare!

✌️Now a look at What we have going on at Morrison this week:
🔷️Monday - Holiday Hat and/or Hair Day
🔷️Tuesday - Holiday Sweater Day
🔷️Wednesday - Holiday Movie Day
📣World Language Wednesday - A student will do the announcements both in English and their native language.
🔷️Thursday - Sparkle Day and/or Patriots Gear
⏰️1/2 Day of school. Dismissal at 12:10
🔷️Friday - Pajama Day
🎶Holiday Sing A Long 9:00am (This is a school only event. However I did have a parent mention that they'd love to see it and suggested that we "broadcast" it to families. I'll be working on a way to do this and hopefully send out a link where you can watch). FYI - for the Sing A Long we all meet up in the cafeteria, each grade level leads the school in "their" song.

Here's wishing you and your family a Happy Holiday Season!

It's Dine Out Time Again!!

Support Your Morrison Mustang(s) with a family night out at Chateau in Braintree Tonight December 10th.

Make sure you mention this fundraiser/Morrison and a percentage of your bill will be donated to our school.

See you there!!

How it Works:
1. On TUESDAY DECEMBER 10TH 2024 visit Chateau BRAINTREE for lunch, dinner or take-out and let your server or phone representative know that you are participating in the fundraiser and to FLAG YOUR CHECK.
2. For in-house dining: When paying your bill, please
double check that the word “FUNDRAISER” is
noted on your check to ensure your check is being included with the fundraiser.
3. For online orders: Order FUNDRAISER as an item and then enter the name of your organization as a special instruction. Again, double-check that the fundraiser code has been added to the order.

Will you be Dining Out for Morrison?

Hope to see you at the Holiday Fair Tomorrow!!

"What is the Holiday Fair?"

Well, our PTO comes into Morrison and transforms our Gym into a Winter Wonderland. Students go to the fair to shop for others in their families (many end up buying for themselves as well 😀).

--------------‐------------

Students who are shopping without an adult present should bring a list of those they would like to buy for, so a teacher can help if needed. If you are sending students with money please make sure it is in a labeled bag with their name on it. It helps everyone stay organized.

----------------------------

Parents, grandparents, etc... are welcome to join their student as they shop, please enter through the gym door behind the school. There will be signs leading families from the parking lot behind the school and into the gym through the back entrance.

We have many parents who spend the day helping out at the tables where items are for sale.

There is also a raffle table with a "whole bunch" of items, including many Teacher Raffles.

----------------------------

It's a whole lot of fun!

----------------------------

Looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow to shop! If you`re unable to make is please don`t worry. There will be lots of adults around to help students get what they`re looking for.

-----------------------------

Thank you to the PTO and all the families who have helped coordinate this event. We are so lucky to have you
