We had so much fun celebrating Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year and the 100th Day of School at Step Ahead over the last few weeks! 💌🐉💯

Step Ahead will be OPEN with regular hours (7:30-5) tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25th!

Dear BPS Families and Staff,

After another significant snowfall, we are prepared to reopen our schools tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25th at our regular school times.

We have consulted with various town departments and feel confident in this decision. Our Department of Public Works staff, school custodians, and bus drivers have worked tirelessly to clear roads, buses, parking lots, and sidewalks. This work will continue this evening and overnight.

Please be aware that not all sidewalks throughout town have been fully cleared. In most cases, we are dependent on homeowners and businesses to clear sidewalks. If your child walks to school, we ask that they exercise caution and use the clearest and safest route available. If possible, we encourage families to carpool and take advantage of each school’s drop-off system. Additionally, all drivers should proceed slowly and carefully, especially around snowbanks.

If you notice an area that needs additional treatment, please notify your school directly so it can be addressed.

We are excited to welcome everyone back to school and appreciate your continued cooperation and patience.

Due to the impending snowstorm, Step Ahead will be CLOSED tomorrow, Monday, February 23rd. Please keep an eye out for an email regarding school on Tuesday, February 24th.

Valentine’s Day 2026 💌🍫

We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day at Step Ahead on
Wednesday, February 11th & Thursday, February 12th 💘 All students will be sent home a Valentine’s Day information sheet specific to their classroom.

If you are interested in bringing in items for our Valentine’s Day parties, the sign up sheet will be in the hallway outside of Miss Sam’s room.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to speak to your child’s teacher.

Tomorrow, Monday, January 26th, Step Ahead will be CLOSED. We hope all our families stay safe and warm during the snowstorm!

On Tuesday, December 23rd, we will be having our annual Christmas Show for all students and their families! The show will be held in the upstairs hall starting at 9:15.

***ALL STUDENTS MUST BE TO SCHOOL NO LATER THAN 8:30 ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW!!!***

All children will be dismissed for vacation immediately following the show. There will be NO lunch, afternoon or extended day sessions. Step Ahead will be CLOSED Wednesday, December 24th through Friday, January 2nd for vacation. We will reopen on Monday, January 5th, 2026.
