No degree. No résumé. Faustina worked the kitchen and answered the door.
Through her, Jesus gave the world Divine Mercy and five words to pray: “Jesus, I trust in You.”

In a world where trust, respect, and so many other things need to be earned, mercy isn’t one of them. Mercy can’t be earned. It can only be received.

Francis had money, status, and big plans. He was chasing glory. Then Christ stopped him cold: “Go and rebuild my Church.” He traded the chase for a calling and found what ambition never gave him.

What are you building? And who’s at the center of it?
Ask St. Francis to pray for you to be ready to give God your ‘yes.”

Be bold.

He spent decades in a cave, wrestling Scripture from Hebrew and Greek into Latin — alone, exhausted, by his own account half-mad with the work most people would never see or thank him for.

He was also famously difficult. Sharp-tongued, quick to fight, not an easy man to be around.

God didn't wait for him to smooth out the edges. He used the discipline and the fire together — pointed at something that outlasted him by sixteen centuries.

You don't need to be easy to be useful. You need to put whatever you've got — even the parts you're not proud of — in service of something worth the labor.

Three archangels, three different jobs:
One fights.
One delivers the message that changes everything.
One walks beside a young man on a journey he can't make alone.

None of them acted on their own authority.
Every move was in service of something bigger than themselves.

That's the pattern worth noticing: strength, truth, and presence —
all pointed outward, all in the service of someone else's good.

Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, pray for us — that we'd fight when it's time to fight, speak the truth when it's time to speak, and show up for the guy next to us who's walking a road he can't walk alone.

Free apps sell YOU. You're the product — your data, your attention, auctioned to the highest bidder.

Being chosen is the opposite. Nobody sells what they actually want. Someone has to decide, on purpose, that you're worth investing in.

That's what happened when God chose you. Not by default. Not because you were just there. On purpose — by Someone who could've picked anyone else and picked you.

That's the difference between being used and being wanted.
You are chosen. Today's the day to start understanding what for — and who gets access to you now.

Your Challenge This Week
Do an actual permissions check:

1. List who or what currently has the most access to your time, attention, and decisions. Be honest — group chat, gaming, a girlfriend, whatever it actually is.
2. List three things you'd say you value most — friends, faith, family, honesty, whatever's true.
3. Compare the two lists. Where's the gap?
4. Revoke one permission this week and grant it somewhere better. Turn off notifications for an hour and give that time to prayer or your family instead. Tell your group chat no to something that pulls you off track. Go to confession and hand something over you've been white-knuckling on your own.

One change. On purpose. This week.

Matthew, the tax collector — a man his own people called a traitor.
And Jesus said, "Follow me."
He left the money on the table.

But the real story isn't the leap. It's what came after —
years spent writing, building the case for who Jesus was.
Zeal that became work.

Matthew had a purpose in God’s plan. So do you.
Most conversions aren't dramatic. They're just showing up to what you already said yes to.
