AIPAC Meetings for the 2026-2027 School Year

Day 2 of Culture Camp focused on traditional craftsmanship and cultural teachings. Students began creating jingle dresses with Pat while others learned the foundations of moccasin making with Niizhoo. It was a day of hands-on learning and connecting with tradition.

Day 1 of Culture Camp was a success! The fleshing of the otter is now complete. Over the next two days, the hide will dry in preparation for the final stage of processing. On Friday, participants will continue by processing the leather. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn and share these important cultural teachings together.

The drum ceremony planned for Brainerd High School's commencement will continue after all, despite previous communication that the district was pulling its support.

Mino giizhigad gakiina awiyaa! Good day everyone!

We received great news in the last hour that the Brainerd school board backed our student drum group's honor song at the Brainerd High School tomorrow evening. Your voices and advocacy were heard! We appreciate you standing alongside of us in this work. We know students, families, district employees, tribal leaders, state leaders, educators and community members around the state that have all expressed support and concern about this process.

We would like to specifically say a miigwech to John Ward, Brainerd school board member and AIPAC board representative for his expressed advocacy. The change in this decision would not have occurred without each of you standing, voicing, and supporting!

Tomorrow evening we look forward to honoring the graduates with the drum! Please support the boys that have worked hard for this moment to be a reality. Remember to rise during the honor song. Miigwech! ❤
