Kindness is Growing at Garfield School!

Last month, our Kindergarten through 4th grade students teamed up with our wonderful Mrs. Linder, the very talented Mrs. Askerooth-Olson, and our amazing staff to create the most colorful Kindness Tree you’ve ever seen!

Each leaf was created by a student at Garfield School & serves as the sweetest reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference!

Please come by to see & admire this beautiful, thoughtful creation and then experience the kindness that grows every single day at Garfield School!

Our truly terrific 3rd Graders went to the Planetarium today for a lesson on Constellations, Stars, Moon, Sun, & Planets!

They also learned how the Ojibwe used the constellations to tell stories and use them to tell what time of year it was!!

Hip, Hip, Hooray! Today at Garfield Elementary School, Mrs. Barber’s Second Grade Class celebrated filling up their gold coin jar by having a good old fashion, most adorable “Western Day,” alongside Mrs. Webster’s Kindergarten Class who celebrated filling up their gold coin jar by having a special day with their favorite stuffed animal from home—looks like they even went on a walk & enjoyed a picnic lunch—Wow! And, those 2nd graders sure looked snazzy all day today!!! Hats off to our 2nd graders!!

Garfield School Rocks! ✨

What a special week it was for Mrs. Webster’s and Mrs. Zerwas’ Kindergarteners, they just took their first field trip to Forestview Middle School to see the Planetarium & School Forest!

The excitement from seeing the incredible sights inside the big Planetarium only grew as the kindergarteners ventured outside to plant their very own Kindergarten Class Tree in the School Forest alongside each other.

And, of course, no field trip is complete without a picnic lunch! From exploring the stars to putting down roots, it was truly a magical day for our Kindergartners!

Here’s to many more unforgettable moments & wonderful memories made by our terrific Garfield Kids!
