🌿 **ENROLLMENT IS OFFICIALLY OPEN!** 🌿
After a summer full of BIG changes, problem-solving, moving, building, and finding our footing again, we are so excited to officially open enrollment for the **2026–2027 school year at Organic Roots Schoolhouse!** 💛
This year has continually brought us back to one word: **simplicity.**
Getting back to our roots. Remembering what Organic Roots was created to be. Small groups. Deep relationships. Strong academics without losing childhood. Muddy boots. Real tools. Big questions. Creativity. Nature. Community. And learning that actually means something to kids.
This year, we are opening our doors to **two intentionally small learning groups:**
🌱 **PRIMARY GROUP | K–2 | Monday–Wednesday**
Our younger learners will spend three full days together building strong foundations in **reading, writing, math, science, and other core skills**, with small-group and individualized instruction that allows us to meet children where they are.
But these years should be about so much more than academics.
We'll protect time for **play, movement, creativity, nature, friendships, exploration, practical life skills, emotional growth, and curiosity.** We want our youngest students getting their hands dirty, asking a million questions, building confidence, making mistakes, trying again, and discovering that learning can be something they genuinely LOVE.
🌲 **INTERMEDIATE GROUP | Grades 3–5 | Thursday–Friday**
Our big kids are getting something a little different this year—and I'm really excited about what this group can become.
This will be a **hybrid homeschool + Organic Roots experience.** Students will spend two intentionally small-group days at Organic Roots receiving individualized academic instruction and support while diving deeper into **project-based learning, nature study, science, writing, critical thinking, practical life skills, building, creating, problem-solving, collaboration, and real-world learning.**
Because two days isn't enough for a complete academic week, learning will continue at home on the remaining days. My role will be to help guide academics, identify and support individual skill needs, and use our time together for the pieces that are much harder to recreate independently at home.
And maybe most importantly, our older kids still get something they desperately need: **community.**
Friends. Collaboration. Leadership. Belonging. Opportunities to work through challenges together. Time to laugh and be weird and be kids. 💛
Our new property gives BOTH groups an incredible opportunity to get back to what Organic Roots has always been about. 🌲
We're dreaming about **gardening, building, creating, outdoor projects, nature studies, real tools, practical skills, community connections, and hopefully growing our relationship with 4-H.**
We don't want children simply completing assignments.
We want them learning how to **think, create, communicate, persevere, work with others, solve real problems, care for the world around them, and recognize just how capable they are.**

This year isn't about doing *more.*
It's about doing what matters **better.**
Getting outside. Getting our hands dirty. Building strong academic foundations. Creating things. Asking questions. Solving problems. Building relationships. Learning to be good humans.
**And getting back to our roots.** 🌿💛
