Sometimes I look back through photos from the last few years and think…

**Yep. This is why.** 🌿

This is why Organic Roots exists.

It was never about creating a prettier version of school.

It was about creating a place where kids could have more of what childhood is supposed to have.

More time outside.
More movement.
More questions.
More creating.
More getting dirty.
More figuring things out together.
More relationships.
More room to breathe.

And yes — we read. We write. We do math and science and all of the important academic things.

But we've also watched kids build confidence because they climbed something they were afraid to climb.

We've watched friendships form over forts, projects and adventures.

We've watched kids who weren't sure they loved learning discover that they absolutely love learning when they're given the opportunity to experience it differently.

We've watched children become more independent, curious, capable and connected to the world around them.

And over the years, these kids have taught **me** just as much.

They've reminded me again and again that childhood doesn't need to be rushed. ❤️

That is why, through every move, every pivot, every giant question mark and every moment I've wondered if I could actually keep doing this...

**I keep choosing Organic Roots.**

Because I've seen what can happen here.

And I'm so incredibly grateful that we get to offer this little school to our community for another year. 🌱

**Enrollment is now open for the 2026–27 school year.**

🌿 A NEW SCHOOL YEAR. A NEW HOME. A FRESH START. 🌿

There’s something pretty special about knowing a brand-new chapter is about to begin.

Behind the scenes, things are BUSY as we get our new schoolhouse ready — unpacking, building, organizing, dreaming, and slowly turning a new space into Organic Roots. 🤎

And while I’m not quite ready for the big schoolhouse reveal yet 😉, I am ready to share what I’m most excited about for this year:

A new schedule designed to give each age group the time, space, and teaching they need.

🌱 PRIMARY | Kindergarten–2nd Grade
Monday–Wednesday
Three full school days centered around strong foundations in reading, writing, math and science — with plenty of play, movement, creativity and time outside woven throughout.

🌲 INTERMEDIATE | Grades 3–5
Thursday–Friday
Two focused school days created specifically for our bigger kids, with deeper academic work, hands-on learning, projects, discussion and connection. This group works beautifully as part of a hybrid homeschool model, with families continuing learning at home throughout the rest of the week.

And maybe the part I’m most excited about?

These are two distinct groups. Two different classroom experiences. One little school community. 🤍

Keeping our groups small allows me to really know these kids — how they learn, where they shine, where they need a little extra support, and what makes them curious.

That has always been the heart behind Organic Roots.

More intentional. More connected. More room to grow. 🌿

Enrollment for the 2026–27 school year is OPEN, and space is intentionally limited.

If you’ve been wondering whether Organic Roots might be the right fit for your child, now is the time to reach out. I would love to tell you more about what we’re building this year.

The schoolhouse reveal will come. 😉 For now, just know there’s a whole lot of work — and a whole lot of heart — happening behind the scenes.

🌿 **ENROLLMENT IS OFFICIALLY OPEN!** 🌿

After a summer full of BIG changes, problem-solving, moving, building, and finding our footing again, we are so excited to officially open enrollment for the **2026–2027 school year at Organic Roots Schoolhouse!** 💛

This year has continually brought us back to one word: **simplicity.**

Getting back to our roots. Remembering what Organic Roots was created to be. Small groups. Deep relationships. Strong academics without losing childhood. Muddy boots. Real tools. Big questions. Creativity. Nature. Community. And learning that actually means something to kids.

This year, we are opening our doors to **two intentionally small learning groups:**

🌱 **PRIMARY GROUP | K–2 | Monday–Wednesday**

Our younger learners will spend three full days together building strong foundations in **reading, writing, math, science, and other core skills**, with small-group and individualized instruction that allows us to meet children where they are.

But these years should be about so much more than academics.

We'll protect time for **play, movement, creativity, nature, friendships, exploration, practical life skills, emotional growth, and curiosity.** We want our youngest students getting their hands dirty, asking a million questions, building confidence, making mistakes, trying again, and discovering that learning can be something they genuinely LOVE.

🌲 **INTERMEDIATE GROUP | Grades 3–5 | Thursday–Friday**

Our big kids are getting something a little different this year—and I'm really excited about what this group can become.

This will be a **hybrid homeschool + Organic Roots experience.** Students will spend two intentionally small-group days at Organic Roots receiving individualized academic instruction and support while diving deeper into **project-based learning, nature study, science, writing, critical thinking, practical life skills, building, creating, problem-solving, collaboration, and real-world learning.**

Because two days isn't enough for a complete academic week, learning will continue at home on the remaining days. My role will be to help guide academics, identify and support individual skill needs, and use our time together for the pieces that are much harder to recreate independently at home.

And maybe most importantly, our older kids still get something they desperately need: **community.**

Friends. Collaboration. Leadership. Belonging. Opportunities to work through challenges together. Time to laugh and be weird and be kids. 💛

Our new property gives BOTH groups an incredible opportunity to get back to what Organic Roots has always been about. 🌲

We're dreaming about **gardening, building, creating, outdoor projects, nature studies, real tools, practical skills, community connections, and hopefully growing our relationship with 4-H.**

We don't want children simply completing assignments.

We want them learning how to **think, create, communicate, persevere, work with others, solve real problems, care for the world around them, and recognize just how capable they are.**

**PRIMARY | K–2**
Monday–Wednesday

**$250 enrollment fee for both programs.**

Our groups will remain **small and intentional**, so space is limited.

This year isn't about doing *more.*

It's about doing what matters **better.**

Getting outside. Getting our hands dirty. Building strong academic foundations. Creating things. Asking questions. Solving problems. Building relationships. Learning to be good humans.

**And getting back to our roots.** 🌿💛

A slightly overdue summer recap because apparently we’ve been a little busy over here. 😂🌿

But our Amazing Race Summer deserves its moment! 🌎☀️

We spent our summer exploring, creating, racing, problem-solving, getting dirty, getting soaked, working together, and—most importantly—letting kids be kids.

There were challenges, adventures, lots of time outside, plenty of laughter, a healthy dose of chaos 😂, and so many sweet memories made along the way.

Summer at Organic Roots is always a little wild, a little messy, and a whole lot of fun. 💛

Summer 2026 — thanks for the adventure. 🌿☀️

🌿 **We’re still here. And finally… we can breathe a little.** 🌿

If things have seemed a little quiet over here lately, it’s because behind the scenes, life at Organic Roots has been anything but quiet. 😂

This move has been nothing short of an emotional roller coaster — navigating county requirements, figuring out what our new space needs, moving an entire school, and trying to get all of the pieces in place before another school year begins.

And somehow, we are already at the point where the first day of school can officially be counted in **SLEEPS.** 😳🌻

We still have a LOT of work ahead of us. Our new space is very much a work in progress, and there will be plenty of building, creating, organizing, problem-solving, and probably a little bit of chaos before those doors officially open.

But we’re here. 💛

And somewhere in the middle of all of the uncertainty and change, this year has gifted us something we didn't necessarily know we needed:

**Simplicity.**

A chance to slow down.
To reground.
To remember what matters most.
And, quite literally, to find our roots again. 🌱

Organic Roots was never meant to be about having the fanciest building or creating a traditional school inside four walls.

It was built around children.
Around relationships.
Around muddy boots and curious minds.
Around learning through nature, play, exploration, and real life.
Around creating a place where kids are known, loved, challenged, and given room to grow.

And as we build this next little chapter, that is exactly where we are returning.

**Back to our roots.** 🌿

We are currently working on setting a date for an **Open House at our new property**, and we cannot WAIT to welcome families out, show you what we are creating, and share what this next season of Organic Roots is going to look like.

And yes… **enrollment information is coming VERY soon.** 🎉

Thank you to everyone who has continued to check in, cheer us on, offer a hand, and believe in this little school through one heck of a year.

We’re still here.

A little tired. A little dusty. Probably covered in paint.

But rooted. 💛🌿

And really, really excited about what comes next.

✨ A New Chapter Begins ✨

If there’s one thing this past year has taught me, it’s that sometimes the hardest seasons quietly prepare us for the most beautiful new beginnings.

This last year has stretched me, challenged me, humbled me, and strengthened me in ways I never could have imagined. There were moments when the path ahead felt uncertain, and I had no choice but to keep taking the next faithful step, trusting that God was leading even when I couldn’t yet see where.

Looking back now, I can see that every challenge was shaping not only my own character, but also helping guide Organic Roots Schoolhouse toward where it was always meant to be.

Today, I am incredibly excited to share that Organic Roots Schoolhouse has a new home! 🌿

Even more amazing…it’s only 3 minutes from our current location! Out of all the places we explored, we somehow ended up just down the road. ❤️

This move is so much more than a change of address. It creates a more sustainable future for our school by allowing my family to live on the same property as the school. That means more resources can go directly into our students, our programs, and the vision we’ve been building together.

And this is only the beginning.

This property gives us room to dream bigger—to create more outdoor learning spaces, expand hands-on opportunities, build community, and continue growing the unique learning environment that makes Organic Roots Schoolhouse so special.

🌱 Enrollment is officially OPEN for the upcoming school year! 🌱

If you’ve been curious about what makes our nature-based, relationship-centered school different, now is the perfect time to reach out. We’d love to show you around and share our vision for this exciting new chapter.

To every family, volunteer, supporter, and friend who has encouraged us, prayed for us, believed in us, or walked alongside us through this journey…thank you. You have been part of this story, and I’m so grateful.

Here’s to new beginnings, brave steps, and watching little roots continue to grow. ❤️
