COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY!!!

ILMEA will be hosting one day of our Large Group Festival events at Olivet Nazarene University (Bourbonnais) on Friday, April 28, 2023. The festival will take place from 7:30am to 5:00pm and we are in need of some high school and collegiate volunteers to make this day a success for our participating ensembles!

If students are able to work for the entire day, we can sign off on 10 hours of community service hours, or we can split the day into two 4.5 hour shifts, from 7:30am - 12:00pm and from 12:30pm - 5:00pm.

For high school students and collegiate chapter participants - this is a great opportunity to earn community service hours alongside their fellow music students in one good block of time!

For collegiate students in music education preparation courses: this may be a great option for students to earn observation hours! Depending on your institution's policies, being placed in the warm-up room or the clinic room for a volunteer position will afford those volunteers direct observation of educators working with their ensembles that may count toward music education observation requirements.

Braidwood Community Care Center Food Pantry:

To any high school students that need community service hours, we have our monthly delivery truck that comes on Monday. I know there is no school on March 6th. The truck comes between 9:30am -10 am. We would love to have the help. Give April Highbaugh a text if you can help. 815 955 0146.

Attention Juniors & Seniors that need community service hours! There is an opprotunity to earn 7 hours on Saturday March 4th at the Godley Park District, working Melissa's closet Prom Dress Sale. There are 8 spots available, you have until Wednesday 2/15 to sign up with Mrs. Arseneau. After that she will open it up to underclassman.

The Speech Team needs your help. Students are needed to be room monitors here at RCHS this Saturday, Feb. 4. Hours are from 7:30-5:00. Volunteers will receive food and community service hours! Contact [email protected] (Room 411) or [email protected].

Last call 🚨🚨
Please let me know if your available to help tomorrow night Jan 26 5-8 pm at Aventure in Bourbonnais to set up some gymnastic equipment. Great News!!! This will count for community service hours for graduation!!! The more people we have the sooner we are done! Any student welcome to help 8th grade or older preferably due to lifting. Also any parent is welcome to help as well! Please reach out to me!

Also take down of equipment is Sun the 29th 7:30-10pm. We could use more help that day as well and service hours count for that as well!

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY!!

Coal City Cub Scouts Pack 466 is doing their town-wide food drive this weekend, November 5 & 6.

They drop brown bags on porches Saturday, 11/5 starting at 11am in an assigned area and then go around and pick up filled bags off porches in that same territory the day after on Sunday, 11/6 starting at 1pm.

Anyone interested can contact Kim at 708/642-6927 or just meet up at the Methodist Church on McArdle Road at 11am on Saturday, 11/5.

In the past, it's taken around 2 hours each day but will vary based on the number of helpers we get.

The RCHS Athletic Booster Club is looking for some students to help out in the football concession stand for this Saturday’s game. The call time is 4pm.
