IMI Industrial Automation is hosting a hiring event on Friday, August 14th, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM at 25150 S. Governors Hwy., University Park, IL. They are actively hiring 2nd Shift Assemblers (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM), with initial 1st shift training (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) lasting 4 to 6 weeks. Pay starts at $21/hr during training, with a $2 shift differential once moved to the 2nd shift.

We talked to Mighty Cake Company, and the rumors are true — they're coming to Momence! 🎂

Mighty Cake Company is preparing to open its new Momence location in the coming months, and they're hiring production workers now. Stop by their new location Wednesday and Thursday, August 12–13, from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. to learn more about current opportunities and meet with their team.

We spoke directly with Mighty Cake Company, and here's what they shared with us so you can show up prepared:

🔹 They are looking to hire approximately 30–50 production workers during this hiring phase.

🔹 Those hired will be transported by company-provided buses to Chicago for training before beginning work at the Momence facility.

🔹 Employees are expected to begin working in Momence later this year or early next year.

And this is just the beginning! Keep an eye out for future hiring phases, which are expected to include maintenance, bookkeeping, administrative, and other positions.

If you've been looking for a new opportunity close to home, this is a great chance to get in early and learn more directly from the employer!
