Special Olympics Bocce Ball Season is Almost Here!

Whether you're a returning athlete or partner or interested in joining for the first time, we'd love to have you on the team!

First Practice: Tuesday, August 18
Time: 3:15–4:15 p.m.
Meeting Location: E105

During our first practice, athletes will:
- Meet teammates and coaches
- Learn the basics of bocce ball
- Complete district qualifying measurements required for competition in October

Important Dates
• August 12th: Please register/renew your account with the Center of Excellence (COE) https://portals.specialolympics.org/
• August 18: First Practice & Qualifying Measurements
• Practice and competition dates will be shared soon

Special Olympics Illinois is proud to be a finalist for the 2026 Cubs Charities Community Awards presented by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation! The awards recognize nonprofits advancing youth development through sports and education.

From co****le, a first-year game at the event, to athletics, to the pool, local athletes combined to capture 17 gold medals at the Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games earlier this month.
