We just opened a couple of spots in a two weekend 4 day greenwood carving class with Brad and Will of thebluecartcraft and I wouldn't sleep on it! These classes made me fall in love with sloyd or greenwood carving last year. Im pumped!

Gatherer's class begins again!
We wove willow harvesting baskets with Sandra Kehoe《Willowbrook Basket Farm》 of Willowbrook Basket Farm .
It was cold and hot and windy and sunny and what is ultimately the full expression of spring as we jump into this year's growing season of all things plants. Here's to the upcoming nettles, ramps and dandelions.

Big day for the weekly homesch8ol program! Three kids got solo bowdrill fires and the group started bark tanning rabbit hides. Super fun teaching with Caleb as always and thanks to Nathina Duncan and Revolution Farm and Apiary LLC

Blindfolds are an amazing tool for building awareness. At first they can be scary, disorienting, and honestly downright emotionally challenging. But give yourself a moment of grace and you may find your balance shifts to your inner ear not your visual horizon. Your other senses elevate to make up for the loss of your dominant sense. Your mind calms. You find a way to move from your center, with control and care. It builds your ability to move fluidly over the landscape, day or night, and it teaches you to move as the landscape dictates.... so many lessons.
