Bradford High School FCCLA Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) FCCLA is the only in-school student organization with the family as its central focus.

FCCLA is a career and technical student organization that functions as an integral part of the Family and Consumer Sciences education curriculum and operates within the school system, and it provides opportunities for active student participation at local, state, and national levels. or young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences education in public and private school through grade 12. Everyone is part of a family, and FCCLA is the only national Career and Technical Student Organization with the family as its central focus. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Today over 205,000 members in nearly 6,500 chapters are active in a network of associations in 50 states, including the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Chapter projects focus on a variety of youth concerns, including teen pregnancy, parenting, family relationships, substance abuse, peer pressure, environment, nutrition and fitness, teen violence, and career exploration. Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life -- planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal communication -- necessary in the home and workplace.

Nationals. Dreams achieved. Goals exceeded. ❤️

What an incredible week for Bradford FCCLA at the National Leadership Conference!

✨ Ema Overton earned a place in the Top 10 in the Nation for her Chapter Service Project, Bradford Buddies, finishing 7th overall. One of Ema’s biggest goals was simply to qualify for Nationals during her FCCLA career—and not only did she accomplish that dream, she left as one of the top competitors in the entire country. We couldn’t be prouder of her heart for service and the impact Bradford Buddies has made.

✨ Lauryn Miller and Linnzi Pate earned a Silver Medal in the highly competitive Focus on Children STAR Event with their project, Joy for Every Child. This was the first STAR Event competition for both girls, and they advanced all the way to Nationals in one of FCCLA’s toughest categories. While we are still waiting on their official placement, earning Silver on the national stage is an incredible accomplishment.

These achievements didn’t happen overnight. They are the result of countless hours of planning, practicing, revising, serving others, and yes—even literal blood, sweat, and tears. Their dedication, perseverance, and passion for FCCLA have been inspiring to watch.

Congratulations, Ema, Lauryn, and Linnzi! You represented Bradford, Tennessee, and FCCLA with excellence. Your FCCLA family couldn’t be more proud of you! ❤️🏅
