Ethan Voorhees '26 is continuing to prove the determination of rural area, first generation students. A 2026 graduate with a B.A. in Economics & minor in writing, will be attending Columbia Law School this fall - thanks to a scholarship from Columbia Law School making this dream a reality.

When asked how his time at Pitt-Bradford prepared him for taking the next step in his education journey, he said "Pitt-Brad prepared me for my next step by offering me an academic environment close-knit enough for one-on-one mentorship to occur. I am grateful to have worked closely with several current and former professors: Dr. Nancy McCabe, Dr. Shailendra Gajanan, and Allen Maxson. Across all three years, they maintained high expectations, ensuring that meeting them demanded hard work, but never felt inaccessible."

We're proud to celebrate Ethan's incredible achievement and can't wait to see where his journey takes him next. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Meet Grace Bollinger, a Forensic Science major with a minor in Chemistry, who discovered Pittโ€“Bradford through her sister and was immediately drawn to its dedicated forensic science program. What ultimately solidified her decision were the close-knit learning environment, supportive faculty, and small class sizes that allow for more meaningful, hands-on experiences.

On campus, Grace stays connected to her passion for the outdoors through her involvement in the Environmental Club, where she enjoys engaging with like-minded students and contributing to sustainability efforts.

Receiving a donor-funded scholarship has had a profound impact on Graceโ€™s college experience. Not only has it eased the financial burden of student debt, but it has also served as a meaningful recognition of her hard work and academic achievements.

Looking ahead, Grace is exploring multiple paths for her future. She is considering attending law school with the goal of becoming a district attorney, or pursuing graduate studies in toxicology to further deepen her expertise in the field.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, we're proud to recognize Tyler R. Nelson '24 and his commitment to educating the next generation.

After earning his degree in History and Political Science with a minor in Philosophy, Tyler is serving as a state office intern while pursuing a Master of Arts in Social Studies Education at PennWest University. Inspired by the support of faculty like Dr. Morgan and the confidence he gained at Pitt-Bradford, Tyler is passionate about bringing real-world experience into the classroom and preparing the next generation of informed citizens.

We're proud to see Panthers making a lasting impact through education, leadership, and service. Congratulations, Tyler! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›
