Eclipse glasses were not made for little ears. If you are worried about your kids keeping their eclipse glasses on during Monday's total solar eclipse, we have an easy adaptation and fun craft project for you! Paper Plate Eclipse Glasses! Governor Scott just vetoed the 2023 Child Care Bill.
Even though the Governor previously voiced his support for a solution to the child care crisis, we always knew this outcome was a possibility.
Fortunately, THERE IS A PATH FORWARD. Why? Because YOU helped elect a record number of child care champions to the Vermont Legislature last November! And once the legislative session began, thousands of you called and emailed your legislators in support of child care. It’s no coincidence that the 2023 Child Care Bill passed the House and Senate earlier this year by an overwhelming majority of lawmakers from across the political spectrum.
Lawmakers have planned a veto session for later this month where they can vote to override the Governor’s veto and deliver this much-needed investment in Vermont’s child care system. To make sure that happens, we’re asking for your help to contact your legislators NOW, before the veto session later this month!
