Art is a brain break, self-expression, a tool for well-being, and it deserves a daily place at school.

When students have access to art throughout the day, it becomes not only a creative outlet but also a way to reset, regulate, and refocus.

Painting, drawing, sculpting, or lettering can offer a mental pause, ease stress, and bring clarity after challenging work. These moments of creativity support emotional balance, reduce overwhelm, and help children return to learning with renewed energy.

STEM learning at Ember begins with curiosity, fun, and big ideas. Through hands-on exploration, children learn to observe, test ideas, adapt, and persist — skills that matter far beyond the classroom.

Montessori math materials help students see, touch, and truly understand abstract concepts, like place value and multiplication. By moving from the concrete to the abstract, students gain a deep, lasting understanding of math.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) gives children the tools they need to understand their feelings, build healthy relationships, and make thoughtful choices. Through SEL, kids learn how to pause, breathe, reflect, and grow—skills that support their emotional well-being and academic success.

In Montessori, the classroom is a thoughtfully prepared environment so that children can focus, explore, and thrive. Our primary classroom space is peaceful, welcoming, and cozy. Ms Brittany (and volunteers!) have worked hard to get it ready for the students!

We’re so happy our goats are finally on campus! This is Pooh Bear. Orphaned as a baby, he had to be bottle fed, so he doesn’t have apprehension around people that the others do. But they are all so friendly, sweet, and hilarious. We can’t wait for the human kids to join them! 🐐👏
