Introducing our Pre-K and Kindergarten teams! Our Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers have the important job of helping the littlest Gators learn, grow and find their confidence at school. From teaching, basic reading, writing, and math to making new friends and building social skills, they do it all with so much patience, love, and a whole lot of energy!

🎉🍪 Caffeine & Cookies to Celebrate Week One! 🍪🎉

What better way to celebrate the end of a successful first week of school than with Caffeine & Cookies!

Our Gullett Gator staff have worked hard, adjusted to new routines, welcomed students with smiles, and made it through an incredible first week together.

Mrs. Gierhart and Mrs. Combs treated our amazing staff to a little caffeine and a sweet treat as a small way to say thank you for all they do each and every day.

We are so proud of our staff and grateful for the energy, teamwork, and heart they bring to Gullett. What a great way to kick off the 2026–27 school year!

💚💙🐊 Spirit Day Fun! 🐊💙💚

Our first Friday Spirit Day of the 2026–2027 school year was a BIG success!

Chompy was out spreading Gator spirit, our students showed up in their green and blue, and the smiles were everywhere!

What a fun way to kick off our first Friday together!

🔬✨ Science Vocabulary in Action! ✨🔬

Our 4th graders in Mrs. Pawlik’s class had a great time today using the Kagan Quiz-Quiz Trade structure to review science vocabulary! 👩‍🔬📚

Students quizzed one another, shared their knowledge, and—best of all—many surprised themselves with just how much they already know! 😊👏

Learning, collaborating, and building confidence…that’s what Gator learning is all about! 🐊💚

☀️ This week Mrs. Harps’s 2nd grade class practiced a Kagan strategy called Stand Up, Hand Up, Pair Up! Students partnered up and shared what they noticed and wondered about our classroom. It was a fun way to get to know our classroom and each other while practicing speaking and listening skills! 🐊💚

📱 A Reminder for Our Gullett Gators! 🐊

As we begin the new school year, we want to remind families about our expectations for personal electronic devices during the school day.

For elementary students:

📵 Cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, and other personal electronic devices may not be used at any time during the school day.

🔒 Devices must be powered off and stored away throughout the school day, including during:
• Lunch
• Class transitions
• Specials and other non-instructional times

These expectations were put in place last school year and continue to be in effect this year.

Students with documented medical or educational needs will be accommodated as required.
