Film Kids

Film Kids Young filmmakers changing the world, one film at a time. · Students will learn about more than film! Film Kids is led by local educators.

Our filmmaking activities are not only fun, they also support oral and written language!

· Students will select a special area of interest to pursue during the actual filming process. Prior to the first day of camp, students will meet the program director to discuss their area of interest and the role they would like to take in the filmmaking process.

· Your child will be working with other stud

ents who share their passion, and are willing to work well in a team setting. Our goal is to create a positive atmosphere where participants feel free to be themselves. All potential participants must participate in an interview prior to registration. Staff will only select students who show a genuine interest in the program and agree to Film Kids Code of Conduct

HELP PLEASE! We start filming in one week and need some help with a few props. Please msg me if you have any of the following that we can borrow for a couple of weeks. We will take good care of your items and they will be "famous" hehehe! :
1. cots or solid color sleeping bags.
2. any kind of lab/medical looking equipment ( Know a vet? even pet stuff would probably work).
3. any kind of martial arts or boxing equipment.
4. mats
5. and a man willing to wear a dark suit and be a secret service agent (we need one more) :)

Great News! Just heard that SAFE has been nominated for an award at the Toronto International Film and Video Awards! Whaaaaat?! Congrats to our filmmakers! You've gone international! SO proud of you all! Fingers crossed! :)))))))

Our new acting/filmmaking program begins next week! The program will meet at Nolan Middle School on Wednesdays from 4-5:30pm. We still have a few slots left. If you know any students in grades 4-9, interested in acting or filmmaking please share.
