In this oppressive heat and drought, humans are not the only ones who suffer, especially in town! Because we are not having rain like we should, lots of water sources for summer time are dry. Water is life, for all of us. A few years ago I started putting out water when I went places. I’ve seen birds, rodents and insects partake of it. It’s a simple way to provide relief for other species, after all, our growth is their loss. I always empty the left over water on a plant and take my dish with me when I leave. From the grocery to the doctors office, restaurants and more, everyone needs a little drink. Here’s a quick demonstration. Florida tomatoes are ripe and beautiful in ‘winter’🥰 They are especially delightful on some toasted white bread with Mayo, sprouts from and balsamic glaze. When I’m working a lot, I find so much enjoyment in simple foods. Tomato sandwiches are perfect for that.
