As we get ready to welcome students to our 50th school year, lots of exciting activity at school! See you at the 50th Birthday Party Ice Cream Social on August 16th from 2-4pm! 🎉🎉🎉

As we celebrate 50 years educating children in Manatee County, we are also celebrating 30 years of our Montessori Middle School Program and 30 years placing our 7th and 8th grade students in the community as part of our job shadow program. This year we had the largest and most diverse placement, including a pediatrician's office, a nonprofit turtle watch, a coin shop, the airport, a downtown clothing and gift boutique, a Bradenton Beach art gallery, and an award winning glass company. We could not provide our students with these incredible experiences without such strong support from our local business community.

Our alumni are saving the world! A huge congratulations to CMS graduate Kai Fitch and his family on his White Coat Ceremony at Howard University College of Dentistry. We send our gratitude to his brother Jordan Fitch, also a CMS graduate, who is now a fighter jet mechanic in the US Air Force stationed in England.

As the year winds down, catching magical moments in passing with students sitting outside in the shade listening to A Land Remembered while others prepare kale chips and to reseed their favorite basil. This is the life of a Montessori child.

Congratulations to Ellie Miller on her acceptance into Florida State University and Austin Carr on his acceptance into University of Florida and on winning 2nd and 3rd place at his high school District Track Meet as he wraps up four years competing in Track and Field.
