Interested in the AR platform. We offer classes from introduction to ARs to advanced. Don't own an AR. Its okay, we have one you can use in class. As much as we love our second amendment rights. My tip for saving money at the range.

I'm always preaching about the importance of training. After all practice makes perfect, but these days a trip to the range can be costly. With the price of ammo at its current level, and lack of availability. Planting freedom seeds in paper can get expensive for most calibers. With .223/5.56x45 coming in at around $0 .75 a round, 9x19mm and .40s&w at $0.45 a round just to name a few. So when I want to spend a day at the range and not spend an arm and a leg I turn to the .22lr they cost about $0.04 a round, and you can find many platforms to shoot it from for much less then their larger caliber counterparts. If you already own an AR15 chambered in 5.56 you can pick up a conversion kit to make it fire .22lr for around $200.00. The G***k 44 .22lr is about $350.00 new. If you shoot a lot like I do the initial cost is definitely worth it, and lets not forget .22lr is fun to shoot, cheaper, and a great way to introduce new shooters to fi****ms.

What gun is best for home defense?

I get asked this question a lot, and truth be told there are about as many answers to this as there are types of guns. There is a lot to consider on this subject. First let's talk about Bullet pe*******on. What kind of material the projectile will pe*****te, and how far it will travel after said pe*******on. You don't want it to go through a wall and hit a loved one in the next room or the neighbor next door. Remember, you are responsible for every bullet that leaves the barrel of your gun. Also whatever gun you use you want to be very familiar with. You need to train with it regularly. The lives of you and your family could be at stake. Something else too think about is how, and where the gun will be stored. You don't want children or anyone that should not have access to it gaining access to it. Rapid access safes work great for this.
My personal top three choices for home defense guns are. The AR15 with defensive ammo, 12 gauge shotgun with 7 1/2 shot, and a 9mm handgun with defensive ammo.
I hope this will begin to lead you in the right direction for home protection.

Be prepared hard times are coming!

Its no secret. The writing is on the wall. With the Federal reserve creating money out of thin air for corporate bailouts, stimulus checks and foreign aid just to name a few. Its caused hyper inflation of the US dollar and is rapidly devaluing it.
Don't believe me.
Take a trip to the grocery store or gas pump.
Look at our housing market and you will see your hard earned moolah is leaving your wallet faster then it ever has in recent history.
Now lets add on supply chain disruptions
making it harder to find items you need on store shelves.
Remember the first six months of the covid pandemic?
Trying to find everyday items like toilet paper, bottled water and hygiene products were about impossible to find and people were fighting in stores.
These are just a few examples of what are happening in America.
If you're asking yourself, what dose this have to do with getting a concealed carry license?
answer...Everything!
You see.
Desperate times. Make desperate people and
desperate people do desperate things.

I'm probably going to take some heat for this, but You know what they say. If you can't take the heat. Then stay out of the kitchen.

So, with that being said. Time to grab a spoon, and stir the pot. Let me preface this post by stating that I am wanting to know your thoughts on Constitutional carry, also called permitless carry. With twenty three states in the US already having passed this into law, and Florida giving it serious consideration. I think it would be remiss not to have an open conversation on this topic. I am a staunch supporter of the second amendment no doubt about it, but that being said. I don't think I would feel any safer with thousands or possibly millions of untrained fi****ms carrying civilians running around. This is why I think we need to find some kind of middle ground. For instance, many states require proof of a fi****ms safety course before they will issue you a hunting license. Maybe something along those lines instead. I don't claim to have the answers or solution, but we won't find them if we don't ask the questions. I would love to hear your thoughts on the topic.

Sincerely,

My number one tip to keep you from becoming a victim and it doesn't involve a weapon.

Its something I teach in all my classes and so simple just about anybody can learn.
Situational awareness is being aware of what is happening around you in terms of where you are, where you are supposed to be, and whether anyone or anything around you is a threat to your health and safety.
You see most criminals and predators I compare to lighting in that they are looking for the path of least resistance. That being said. Something as simple as actively looking around as you walk through a dark parking lot does more to protect you then you might think. First thing it does is allow you to notice a potential threat and avoid it.
The other thing it accomplishes is it lets the would be predators know you are aware even if you don't
see them. They want no resistance an easy score, and wait for someone that is unaware, and easy to surprise. So remember be aware of your surroundings, and don't be the low hanging fruit.

I don't need to carry a firearm. I'll call the cops!

I've had people tell me. "Well I'll just call the police." and you should, but consider the fact that there has been a nation wide social movement to defund or reduce funding to our law enforcement departments.
Which equates to less resources such as fewer cars, equipment and staff. So, if you follow the math.
It equals longer response times by overworked officers.
I know from personal experience it only takes seconds for things to go sideways and at the end of the day its up to you to protect yourself and your family.

Sincerely.
