Thank you for hanging in there b.e.s and not closing...Happy teacher appreciation week❤💯
The calendar says that open house is tomorrow. Is that still so? Just checking to see if we are going to be able to drop off school supplies earlier then the first day of school. Thanks
To the Braceville Elementary Parent School Club and all who sent messages in for my video thank you! The night of graduation there were no words that I could express how honored I was with my library! Then today I saw the dedication plaque and again I was overwhelmed by your thoughtfulness! I can’t wait to add some books to the library! Thank you Braceville for the past 35 years! It has been an honor to be a part of your community and I thank you for your trust in teaching your children, and how you welcomed me to your school with open arms. The past 35 years are filled with memories, parents who are now friends and students who continually inspire me to do more in the classroom! I will miss the school more than you know and I will miss my coworkers(friends) so much! You have taught me so much and I can’t wait to come back and see all of you. Thank you BES! I won’t say goodbye, but rather see you soon! Mrs. Willis
To all my former BES students and parents, THANK YOU! You are doing an awesome job stepping in when we can’t be there. It’s a crazy world right now and I would much rather be in the classroom than at home in front of a computer! I just wanted to take a second and say thank you! Thank you for the memories, the smiles, the tears and the laughter! The joy and the happiness that Braceville has brought to me over the years will stay with me forever! I am so proud of each one of you and of all your accomplishments. Thank you

To my BES students, as you read this please understand that this is not the way I wanted the year to end! I am so PROUD of each and every one of you! You have made me smile and laugh this year, and I have enjoyed watching you grow. I have watched you take on this remote learning and handle it like pros!! We will finish out the year together, just in a new way and I promise when this is over I will see you again!
Sammie decided her superhero is her dad. Hes a truck driver and hes out everyday :)
To all those who gave me movie ideas I just wanted to let you know I watched them all! Love Top Gun and can’t wait for the new one to come out! Hercules has always been one of my favorites and even played it at school when doing our Greek mythology unit. As for El Dorado I always love a good treasure hunting movie.
Any more suggestions?
Geography Day:
7 US Presidents came from this state.
The first traffic light was used in this state in 1914.
The first ambulance service was established here in 1865.
Students, tell me your favorite movie and I will watch it and let you know what I think!
Geography Day 4:
This state is one of fifty(lol) and today I learned some cool facts about it!
There is a town in this state that can’t serve you water at a restaurant unless a peanut in a shell is also served.
The first shopping cart was unveiled in a town here.
Finally, based on per square mile this state has the most tornadoes!
What is the state?
Geography Day 3:
If you remember all my talks in class I have never been to this state, but I want to go here! This state has a cave that is home to over 20 million bats, yuck! Final clue there is a ranch there that is bigger than the state of Rhode Island! What state is it?
