So, a woman who adopted from Prairie Song Rescue was told a pit bull was safe with cats by Jesscy Dean. Turns out not the case after a couple bloody attacks. When the woman agreed to return the dog to the foster, who turned out not to be immediately available, Jesscy demanded she drive from Lewistown to Billings, much further that the agreed upon return.. Jesscy claimed she would refund her when she adopted, but guess what, that's right no refund but she was threatened and slandered on Facebook. Sound familiar

Be very careful and make sure adoptable dogs are documented, have lawful surrender papers and have the microchip scanned for ownership. Lots of fraud taking place out there.

Jesscy Dean of Prairie Song Rescue has plea bargained a "deferred prosecution". This means she's on a probationary status but if other crimes are committed by her they will reinstate prosecuting her for the below crimes of felony burglary, felony evidence tampering, obstructing a peace officer and false alarms.

A 75 year old woman who loaned Jesscy Dean aka Jessica Zimmerman and her husband Leif of Prairie Song Rescue over $400,000 has filed a civil suit in Park County. Allegedly the funds were misappropriated including possible lending/bank fraud. Stay tuned.
