Big weekend at MAES Red Bluff. Montana Range Sheep School starts today at 1pm with almost a full class and then we're hosting the Montana Woolgrowers Summer Campout from Friday evening through Sunday morning. If you can't make the full campout, please attend the producer tour of the new wool research lab on Saturday at 2pm and lamb BBQ later at Red Bluff.

The Montana Department of Livestock has updated its emergency order aimed at preventing the spread of New World Screwworm (NWS) into the state. The revised order establishes stricter import requirements for livestock and other animals entering Montana from Texas, New Mexico, and other designated restricted areas.
Animals originating from infested zones must meet additional treatment, inspection, identification, and permitting requirements before entering Montana. State officials say the measures are intended to protect Montana's livestock industry from the destructive pest.
