We’re not kidding, it can be really busy here!
You might think that while visiting Glacier National Park it should be easy to get physical distance from others. The reality is that while there is a lot of space in Glacier, most visitors all want to see the same areas, which tend to be crowded.
On popular trails like the Highline, Trail of the Cedars, and St. Mary Falls, please be prepared to wear a mask. On such trails, it can be impossible to maintain distancing guidelines of at least 6 feet. To avoid crowds and make distancing easier, consider choosing a hike that is less popular or come early in the morning or in the evening. By taking these precautions you can help keep yourself, other visitors, and park staff safe, and allow us to keep the park open and available to visitors.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work through these difficult times together!
