Happy Friday, GBMS Community!
Next week marks the return of Give Big Gallatin Valley, Montana’s statewide fundraising celebration supporting the organizations that make our community thrive—and Great Beginnings Montessori School (GBMS) is proud to be one of them. This year, Give Big falls on Thursday, May 1, and will align with our own annual fundraising tradition and festive Dos de Mayo celebration.
The GBMS fundraising campaign is already live, and we’re excited to announce that auction items will be available for bidding starting Monday! As a sneak peek, check out Callie the Cow, a one-of-a-kind creation made by Mrs. Amy Galik’s Lupine classroom, and just one of the many meaningful pieces up for bid.
Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of the GBMS community, we raised $200,000—a milestone that made possible the purchas, expansion and renovation of our Foothills campus. The funds supported new decks, enhanced access to our outdoor and natural playgrounds, and the creation of a new classroom for 1–2-year-olds—an often overlooked age group in our growing Bozeman community.
Our fundraising efforts this year will support:
- A new movement room and indoor play equipment to keep little bodies moving on cold Montana days
- Landscaping improvements at our Foothills campus
- Outdoor play equipment for our Springhill campus
As a non-profit, GBMS depends on the generosity of families, friends, and neighbors to fulfill our mission: nurturing joyful, lifelong learners who grow into responsible and respectful citizens of the world.
