In her own words:
“Hello all! My name is Karly and I am so excited to meet your bright and spirited children! I am originally from Fresno, California where I attended high school and part of college. Following my time in Fresno, I moved to Fort Worth, Texas where I received a Bachelor’s in Child Development and a minor in Psychology. I recently moved to the beautiful town of Bozeman in May 2020 because it is easily one of my favorite places to be! Throughout the years I have grown my skills and experience with children by working as a nanny, camp counselor, assistant teacher, and volunteering in schools in vulnerable populations. Redirecting children is not always an easy task, so I understand the importance of this role during these strange and difficult times. When I am not working, I enjoy spending my free time in the beautiful outdoors with friends, and especially enjoy activities such as climbing, camping, hiking, and skiing. While indoors I take pleasure in cooking, jewelry making, reading, and painting. I am grateful to begin my new journey in Bozeman with a wonderful team and all of you wonderful families!”

On July 30, the Kansas State University College of Education released an article titled "Access, Engagement and Resilience during COVID-19 Remote Learning." Read the article here: https://hdl.handle.net/2097/40768

The research is based on qualitative surveys from 829 Kansas educators. Researchers identified access, engagement, and resilience to be the three vulnerable points for students as they begin remote learning. The research supports increased adult engagement as a successful tool for student success.
