All across campus last week, students like were presenting final projects, showcasing their work, and finishing the semester strong. We’re so proud of the work they’ve put in and all they’ve accomplished this past semester. 💙

Today marks the first day of the inaugural Gallatin College Law Enforcement Academy. 👮🏻‍♀️👮🏻 Over the next 14 weeks, these students will train alongside agencies from across Montana, building the skills, leadership and community connections that matter in the field.

We’re proud to play a small part in preparing Montana’s next generation of officers.

As we close out April, we couldn’t help but take a moment to celebrate Community College Month and the real impact community college has on students, the local workforce and the community we call home. 💙

At Gallatin College, that impact has been on full display this month:

✈️ Aviation students visited the United Airlines Training Center in Denver, explored the professional pilot pathway and flew a Boeing 757 simulator.

👨🏻‍🏭 Allied Steel connected with welding students to share career opportunities and invest in Montana’s future workforce.

👩🏼‍⚕️ Allied Health students gained life-saving skills through Basic Life Support training with our partners at Big Horn Fire Co.

⭐️ Two Gallatin College team members were recognized through the MSU Service Excellence Awards for the care, dedication and service they bring to our students and community.

🤝 GC-360 brought middle and high school students, families, educators and community members together to explore in-demand careers through hands-on experiences.

📝 And our team continued learning at the AACC Annual Conference, bringing back fresh ideas around AI, student support, faculty development and the future of community college education.

This is what community college is all about: real skills, real pathways and real people making it possible. 🎓✨

Last week, students got hands-on experience with the programs, people and career pathways shaping the future of Montana. We’re so grateful for our industry partners who spent the day helping students see what’s possible and investing in the next generation with us.

Not sure what comes after high school? GC 360 is a hands-on event where students can explore career paths, meet local industry, and start to see where they fit.
