The One Valley Community Foundation is absolutely critical to ensuring the issues our community and state face are identified and addressed. What does One Valley do?

Philanthropic Advising: One Valley Community Foundation currently oversees 54 charitable funds for 42 philanthropists, totaling over $24.8 million. In 2023, these funds contributed $2.6 million to 301 nonprofits, with 86% benefiting Gallatin County.

Multiplying Grassroots Philanthropy: One Valley’s annual Give Big Gallatin Valley is a 24-hour celebration of giving that has supported 466 local organizations since 2015. Over the past nine years, Give Big has raised over $14.3 million through nearly 83,000 gifts.

Supporting Local Nonprofits: In 2023, One Valley supported 342 nonprofits and 484 nonprofit leaders through innovative educational programs, resources, and networking opportunities, enabling them to better deliver their inspiring missions.

Facilitating Community-Wide Collaboration: In early 2023, One Valley launched the Gallatin County Regional Housing Coalition (RHC). Made up of nearly 30 members from 25 local entities, the RHC ignites collaboration and innovation to tackle local housing attainability and affordability head-on.

MSU accounting students to offer free tax help starting Feb. 21 02/03/2024

Calling all MSU students! Get free tax filing support at Jabs starting the 3rd week of February! Fantastic service offered by the Accounting Program.

MSU accounting students to offer free tax help starting Feb. 21 Senior and graduate accounting students from the MSU Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship are offering free help preparing tax returns for MSU students and individuals who made less than $60,000 last year.

Major Update on Past Gallatin County S*x Crime Investigations 01/20/2024

Riveting talk radio interview and update from County Attorney Audrey Cromwell on those unprosecuted s*xual assault cases she discovered as well as the impact budget shortfalls and staffing shortages are having on law enforcement and criminal justice in Gallatin County. Take a listen!

Major Update on Past Gallatin County S*x Crime Investigations Shortly after being elected Gallatin County Attorney, Audrey Cromwell said she found boxes of cases that had NEVER been prosecuted. These boxes contained cases involving s*x crimes, s*xual assaults, and s*x crimes against children. Several prosecutions are now moving forward. Here's an update.

Such a pleasure hosting MT Supreme Court Justice Jim Rice (a former ASMSU Senator), the Dean and Admissions Director of Montana’s Law School, and MSU Alum Annie Holland for a legal career panel and social. We do it every year, and it’s always a blast. Thanks to MSU Office of Student Engagement, the MSU Pre-Law Club, Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana, attorneys from Cromwell Law, PLLC, and all the aspiring lawyers at MSU. Prince and Andy Warhol -- both late-pop icons and their works will "appear" before the US Supreme Court. This case explores the limits of "Fair Use" as an exception to Copyright protections for creators. The outcome will have lasting effects on content creators and their rights. Stay tuned!
