Summer is just around the corner!
If you would like to have your child work with a tutor over the summer, we have limited openings available. The focus can be on reviewing topics from the past grade, working to catch up in a specific subject area, or getting a head start on some of the topics they will see in the next grade.
We also have some openings for our summer book clubs for groups of students. Book clubs will focus on reading comprehension, writing skills, and other grade-appropriate common core essentials.
Visit www.tryumphlearning.com for more information and schedule a free consultation.

Struggling to get your child to focus and stay motivated to complete their online learning assignments or homework?
Here's a tip: Try adding in simple but engaging science experiments with built-in wait time. During the wait time, focus on completing small chunks of schoolwork.
For example: Try out this "Yummy Gummy Bear Experiment".
You can download a free worksheet here (https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Yummy-Gummy-Bear-Experiment-1977590).
Set a timer for 30 minutes after you put the gummy bear in the water. While you are waiting for the timer to go off, have your child complete an assignment - letting them know they can get up and make observations when the timer goes off. Then, after they make observations, put the gummy bear back into the water and repeat the process. To stretch this experiment out over several days, you can try different liquids, different candies, or different types of gummy bears.
Experiments like this not only help teach the scientific method and inspire curiosity, but they also provide natural breaks during longer work periods. This helps avoid exhaustion and burnout while completing assignments. It also helps give students a new and exciting reward to look forward to.
The Yummy Gummy Bear Experiment is just one example of how I help students who are struggling to stay motivated while completing their assignments.
