Cody Bessette is an SBG Montana black belt and a beloved part of the Montana jiu-jitsu community. He is known for his kind words, generous hugs, incredibly smooth and mostly downright gnarly jiu-jitsu, and the genuine care he shows every athlete who walks through his doors. Anyone who has seen Cody in action on and off the mats knows what an incredible human he is. Cody recently suffered a stroke and is not yet able to return to coaching or running his business. His team and staff have stepped up to keep the gym going, but his recovery will take time, and the road ahead remains uncertain. Cody is a devoted husband to Mya and a devoted father to Nevi and Lex. As Cody focuses on healing, his family is facing the financial strain of lost income and significant medical expenses without the support of health insurance.
This fundraiser was created to surround Cody and his family with the same care and generosity Cody has shown so many others. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden of Cody’s medical bills and give him the time and space he needs to recover.
