The first installation in our series of “Where are they now?”:

Wondering what our MSU-bred horses do when they grow up? We’re working on featuring past program graduates to share their accomplishments and growth.

Kicking us off are our 2-year-olds. These 5 from our 2024 foal crop finished their time in the weanling and yearling courses in 2025, participated in a summer research trial, and have been growing up and being horses this past year - and we love how they are looking!

All 5 were wonderful to work with for research, have been enthusiastic participants in our teaching labs, and still love getting worked by our students. These guys will be started under saddle this upcoming school year with the return of our c**t starting classes!

Have an MSU horse? We’d love to hear how they are doing now - please message us!

The students in our program are truly what keep us moving forward. Thank you to our weanling and yearling course students for dedicating so much of your time to our young horses and for being wonderful to teach!

Our program donors who made this year's yearling class possible: Tawni Teply-Belden, Pat McReynolds, Libby McCauley and Kingsley Murphy, and Tristram Hokenson.

ALL of our extra hands throughout the day who were ready to help hold horses, take photos, change the music volume 100 times, set up courses, hand out prizes, and keep everything running smoothly (Thomas, Matt, Whit, Jack, Spencer, and I'm sure I'm missing a few!)

And last but certainly not least, our incredible students who dedicate so much of their time and heart to this program and its horses. None of this would be possible without you!
