After 33 years in education, and 13 wonderful years at Crosspointe, it is time for me to retire and begin a new chapter. As I write what will be my final Facebook post as Parent Liaison, my heart is overflowing with gratitude.
To all of the parents who trusted me with your children over the years, thank you. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of their lives, their growth, their successes, and even their struggles. Your trust has been one of the greatest honors of my career.
The truth is, I have never looked at your children as just students. They became my kids too. I celebrated their victories, prayed for them through challenges, laughed with them, cried for them, and loved them deeply. Being "Mama Sunshine" has never been a title to me, it has been a privilege and a blessing that I will treasure forever.
The hallways may no longer be my daily home, but the memories, relationships, and love I carry with me will last a lifetime. Each child has left a fingerprint on my heart, and I will forever be grateful for the joy they brought into my life.
To my current students and all of my alumni, please know that seeing you out in the community will always make my day. If you see me around, don't be shy—come say hi! Nothing brings me more happiness than hearing how you're doing, seeing the amazing people you've become, and sharing a hug or a smile.
While goodbyes are never easy, I leave with a heart full of love, gratitude, and countless cherished memories. I will miss being Mama Sunshine more than words can express, but I will carry each and every one of you with me wherever life takes me next.
Thank you for allowing me to love your children. Thank you for loving me right back.
With all my love,
Mama Sunshine ☀️❤️
