Pickled Mussels?? What? Oh yes please!!

New at These are not your typical “pickle” flavor and the mussels are not pickled. They are plump, soft and delicious!

The sauce has a very light pickle taste. Not overwhelming at all. Perfect balanced bite. Try with the normal cracker or bread but I would pair these on a drop of sour cream on a cucumber slice and a little dill frond. Easy bite and fresh!

Might be a perfect little something for the big Masters playoff this weekend💚 and while there grab some stone crabs or shrimp or other amazing fish they offer! 🐟🐟🐟

Looking for a easy dessert for Easter?

This is my go to when I am super short on time but want a yummy delicious dessert. Angel food cake , make one or pick one up from the bakery add a beautiful cake plate and luscious strawberries, a little dish of whip cream and voila!
Or you could also just have strawberries with a dish of sour cream and brown sugar Dip the strawberries into the sour cream and then dip into brown sugar. So very yummy and everyone loves it.

Dove update 😞 the nest is empty 😞
Last Sunday morning I opened the kitchen blinds and the dove was gone. I have been so sad about my beautiful little doves no longer on the nest and just couldn’t bring myself to post about it. They had become such a comfort to watch and I was so excited to see babies hatch.
The nest is intact and I have my fingers crossed that the pair will return to start building a little family once again. 🕊️

We have a nest!! 🪺 my doves are ever present sitting and taking turns watching over their little bundles

I’ve never had doves sit this close to the house and not sure how I’ll be able to open my garden gate 😳

Yes it’s parchment paper! Waxed paper also works.

Carrots and many other veggies stain the cutting board so I use a piece of parchment or wax paper to limit the stain. Plus it work perfectly when grating cheese. Just lift it up and place into a bowl keeping the board clean.
