Another exciting milestone for Downtown Boynton Beach!

This past Tuesday, we celebrated the official groundbreaking of Ocean One, marking another major step forward in the continued transformation of Downtown Boynton Beach!

This exciting redevelopment project represents continued investment in our downtown, bringing new housing, commercial opportunities, and activity to the area.

As construction gets underway, the Boynton Beach CRA looks forward to seeing this project come to life and continuing its efforts to attract investment, support local businesses, and create a vibrant downtown for residents, businesses, and visitors to enjoy.

The future is taking shape, and Boynton Beach is THE place to be!

Looking for your next opportunity in the construction industry? Come out today from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and connect directly with companies seeking workers for the Octavia development and other construction projects.

Opportunities include laborers and helpers, carpenters, electricians, equipment operators, HVAC installers, project managers, pipe layers, skilled trades and more.

For three decades, Hurricane Alley has been a staple of Downtown Boynton Beach. It’s a place known for great food, familiar faces, good times, and countless memories.

This Friday marks the end of an era as Hurricane Alley closes the doors to the location they’ve called home for so many years. But don’t worry, this isn’t goodbye!

Hurricane Alley is moving right across the street to 500 Ocean, with plans to reopen in their new home around December. Same Hurricane Alley vibe. Same Downtown Boynton Beach community. Just a new location!

We encourage everyone to stop by now through Friday night, grab a bite or a drink, share a memory and help celebrate 30 incredible years at their longtime location.

Thank you to the Hurricane Alley team for continuing to invest in Downtown Boynton Beach and for being such a longstanding part of our community. We can’t wait to welcome you back this December at 500 Ocean!

Looking Ahead: Building a Brighter Boynton Beach

As Florida Redevelopment Week comes to a close, we’re looking ahead with excitement at what’s next for Boynton Beach.

The future is already taking shape. We recently broke ground on Octavia at Town Square and look forward to officially celebrating the commencement of the Ocean One project in the coming weeks. Together, these major redevelopment projects will bring new housing, commercial space, public parking and increased activity to the downtown core.

And there’s much more ahead. The BBCRA will continue working with the City, residents, businesses, developers and community partners to attract investment, support local businesses, strengthen neighborhoods and create vibrant places for our community to enjoy.

We also want you to be part of the conversation! Be on the lookout for our “Into the Future” sign at upcoming BBCRA activations, where we encourage you to share your ideas about what you want the future of Boynton Beach to look like.

Redevelopment is a long-term commitment, and every new business, groundbreaking, improved property and community partnership moves us forward.

As we celebrate Florida Redevelopment Week, we’re proud to recognize our ongoing partnerships with the City of Boynton Beach’s Community Standards Department and the Boynton Beach Police Department's Neighborhood Officer Program (NOP).

From keeping neighborhoods and commercial corridors clean and well-maintained to building relationships with residents and businesses, supporting community events, addressing quality-of-life concerns, and helping create safer neighborhoods, these teams play an important role in the continued revitalization of the BBCRA area.

It’s Florida Redevelopment Week!

This week the Boynton Beach CRA is proud to join communities across the state to celebrate Florida Redevelopment Week, recognizing the transformative impact of community redevelopment on neighborhoods, downtowns, commercial corridors, and local economies.

Florida Redevelopment Week is a statewide initiative led by the Florida Redevelopment Association to highlight how Community Redevelopment Agencies (CRAs) and redevelopment programs strengthen communities through strategic public investment, economic development, infrastructure improvements, neighborhood revitalization, and partnerships with local businesses and residents.

Throughout the week, communities across Florida will showcase redevelopment projects, recognize community partners, celebrate local successes, and educate residents about the lasting benefits of redevelopment initiatives.

Community redevelopment efforts help attract private investment, support local businesses, improve public spaces, expand housing opportunities, and create vibrant places where residents and visitors can live, work and thrive.

We encourage residents to participate in Florida Redevelopment Week and learn more about redevelopment projects happening right here in Boynton Beach.
