So my birthday is coming up next week and instead of getting me a hugely expensive gift (small birthday gifts are still good!) I would love if you would make a donation to help my friend Lori Alvord. Lori needs a kidney and has been in and out of the hospital for the past 4 years. We worked together at CMMS for several years and still remain friends to this day. She has a beautiful family now and they can really use our help. So if you have a few extra dollars and a bit of kindness in your heart... grant my birthday wish and help out my friend Lori. I will still be accepting those small birthday gifts though...

My name is Lori Alvord. I am 31 years old and I need a Kidney Transplant. … Lisa Ann needs your support for Lori Needs a Kidney And Bariatric Surgery

Once again it is that time of year, teacher appreciation week. With these trying times, especially trying to teach from a distance, I am reaching out to any former students that I guided and taught over the years. I hope all of you are safe and well. Please write me a short message telling me what you are up to, and feel free to share any short anecdotes from when you were in my class. I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you.

My favorite new TV show -- Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum -- is by my friend Brad Meltzer and debuts at 9 am ET weekdays on . It’s his I AM books come to life. Get a sneak peek now and watch Helen Keller on Monday: https://pbskids.org/video/xavier-riddle-and-secret-museum/3034527927.

Yadina becomes increasingly frustrated as she tries to read a book to Dr. Zoom, but has to keep stopping since it has words in it she doesn’t know. Luckily, Helen Keller knows there are all different kinds of ways to learn. / Losing his voice is so frustrating for Brad! Hopefully Alexander Graham ...
