Academic Highlight; On Friday, our juniors proudly presented their Civic Action Projects, showcasing the power of informed citizenship, critical thinking, and student voice. Through research, collaboration, and advocacy, students identified issues important to them and explored meaningful ways to create positive change within their communities.

The Civic Action Project, a Massachusetts graduation requirement, provides students with an authentic opportunity to engage in the democratic process while learning how local governments, organizations, and community leaders work to address real-world challenges.

We are incredibly proud of the thoughtful projects and presentations our students shared. A special thank you to history teacher Danielle Rinker for guiding students through this important experience and helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become active and engaged citizens.

Academic Highlight: Our sixth-grade students recently brought history to life through the “Tahanto Trail”, an interactive Silk Road simulation that served as the culmination of their study of trade and interactions among ancient civilizations.

Working in teams, students designed, created, marketed, and traded their own handmade products, experiencing firsthand the challenges and opportunities that merchants faced along the Silk Road. From creative crafts to clever sales pitches, the event showcased collaboration, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking.

Congratulations to our sixth graders for their hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm throughout the Tahanto Trail experience. A special shout-out to Beth Barry and the entire sixth-grade team for designing and supporting this engaging learning opportunity, bringing history to life and creating a memorable, hands-on experience for our students.
