We had a fantastic first week of school! We met new friends, learned about classroom routines, tried out toys, art supplies, and more. Our 4-year-old classes even took their first visit to gym class.

For our last Preschool Summer Fun Day, we learned about Esther, who was brave and helped to save her people. God was with Esther when she was worried, and when she was brave. God can help us be brave when we do new and different things, too! We also read a book about three brave baby owls. We painted with water colors and enjoyed some playtime.

On our second July Preschool Summer Fun Day, we learned that the Bible has poems. We read a poem about God as our shepherd, and we learned that Jesus called himself the Good Shepherd. We talked about what it means to trust Jesus our Good Shepherd.
We also played instruments and made crafts. In gym we practiced throwing at targets, like co****le boards, ring toss cones, and a beanbag-catching tiger.

On Fun Friday, we learned about a young man, David, with a tough job-- taking care of sheep. Not only did he have to show them food, water, and shelter, but he also protected them from hungry predators. God helped him to be brave and do his best. One day, God helped David use his job skills to do something really amazing-- save his family and his country from a giant, Goliath, and an angry army who wanted to harm everyone. We also sang songs, rode scooters, painted sheep, and did puzzles.

Our neighbors from Ellixson's Tae Kwon Do Academy came and did a martial arts session with us. We practiced showing respect as well as kicking and punching. So much fun. Thank you, Ellixson's! 🥋🙏💗
