If we can’t see it, we can’t begin to change it. This fall, as part of our ongoing professional development, Merrohawke teachers are reading Reconnections and learning to notice the histories, structures, and relationships that have shaped—and continue to shape—our relationship with this land. What does this ask of us as we teach children here each day? Our work is to listen, notice, question, and consider our responsibility in light of what we are beginning to see. We are not looking for final answers, but for better questions—questions that can continue to shape our understanding, our practice and our relationships.
