Wellness Wednesday!

Recently, Seniors Luke Maynard and Olivia Turco helped Mr. Parianos instruct and certify our staff in CPR. Staff absolutely loved having students teach them!

We are so thankful to be able to create opportunities like these for our students to shine. Watching them lead with confidence, share their knowledge and give back to our learning community has us beaming with pride!

The Middle School’s Blue Team had themselves an exciting and informative day at the Museum of Science in Boston!

Students explored interactive exhibits, looked inside an original Mercury space capsule, and said hello to Cliff the 65 million year old triceratops! They were even lucky enough to catch a couple of adorable tamarinds playing in the Hall of Human Life.

Later, students learned about and celebrated America’s cultural and linguistic diversity with the OMNI film America’s Musical Journey. They marveled at the Lightning Show (with brave volunteer Jessa getting their hair to stand up!), and ended the trip in the planetarium with Destination Mars: The New Frontier.

We love taking our discovery outside of the classroom!

Another successful conference in the books for Masco Model United Nations! 🇺🇳

Our delegates spent their Saturday at BC High School debating and collaborating with hundreds of students from dozens of schools around New England, all with the goal of resolving some of the world’s most challenging issues.

The team is looking forward to their big event at the end of the month- an overnight conference hosted by Boston College! They’re ready for it!

Last week, Masco student-athletes had the chance to compete in the 5th Annual Masco Athletic Combine.

Modeled after the NFL Combine, athletes tested themselves on five measures: 40-yard dash, 5-10-5 drill, standing broad jump, vertical jump, and bench press.

Athletes representing nine different Masco sports teams competed, with individual awards given to first, second, and third place (boys and girls).

A big thank you to Coaches Mitchell, Tosh, Malio, Quinn, Maguire, and Pan for hosting this exciting event and fostering a spirit of friendly competition for our Masco student-athletes!

Happy National Oreo Day!

DECA 1 students celebrated by stepping into the role of product innovators, dreaming up brand new Oreo flavors and pitching their ideas like real marketing teams. From creativity to consumer appeal, students explored how innovation, branding, and business strategy come together in the real world.

As one of Masco’s most popular electives, DECA 1 introduces underclassmen to business, marketing, and the DECA program. With demand so high, the course usually runs during both fall and spring semesters each year.

Congratulations to 11th graders Bridget Moran, Hope Hagan, and Jackson Silva for earning top honors in a national media contest sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French! 🇫🇷

As part of their Hinduism unit, Mr. Quinn’s World Religions class visited Swami Tyagananda at the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society in Boston for an engaging discussion on Hindu perspectives.

For more than a decade, the Swami—who is also an author, lecturer, and chaplain at MIT and Harvard—has graciously welcomed Masco students to the Vedanta Society, of which he is the head.

Experiences like these, made possible by the dedicated, highly qualified teachers who create our electives, leave lifelong impressions on our students.
