Today we had a hoot of a time learning about owls! 🦉✨

We watched a fun video and learned some amazing owl facts—including that owls have such incredible hearing they can even hear the heartbeat of a mouse! 🐭❤️ Then we got creative and made our very own owl crafts! 🎨🦉

A fun day of learning, creating, and exploring!

🚗🍿 Another Exciting Friday at Tot Lot! 🎬✨

This morning, our little builders got creative and built their very own cars! 🚙🔨 Then this afternoon, we grabbed some yummy popcorn 🍿, hopped into our cars, and enjoyed our very own drive-in movie! 🎥🚗

What a fun way to finish out the week—creativity, imagination, popcorn, and lots of smiles! ❤️

🐝 Buzz, buzz! What a bee-autiful day! 🐝

Today we got crafty by making adorable bees while learning that bees are tiny superheroes! They help the Earth by pollinating flowers, fruits, and vegetables so plants can grow and thrive. 🌼🌻🍓

Then it was time for learning stations! We searched for letters, explored weighing blocks to see which were heavier or lighter, and turned colorful shapes into amazing pictures. These fun activities help build early reading and math skills, strengthen problem-solving, spark creativity, and improve fine motor skills.

To top it all off, we headed outside to run, play, laugh, and enjoy the sunshine while making more wonderful memories together! ☀️🌳💛

🍎 Exciting News! 🍎

For the next few months, TotLot Childcare Center is partnering with Bronson’s Marketplace to provide our children with fresh, nutritious lunches while we continue our search for additional kitchen staff.

We’re incredibly grateful for Bronson’s Marketplace and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through staffing shortages. ✨ What a busy and magical day! ✨

Today we started by making our very own magic wands! The children used their imaginations to become powerful magicians and teamed up to battle fierce dragons. It was a fun way to encourage creativity, storytelling, teamwork, and imaginative play.

Next, we practiced our scissor skills by cutting colorful scraps of paper and creating unique collage art. Using scissors helps children strengthen the small muscles in their hands, improve hand-eye coordination, develop bilateral coordination (using both hands together), and build the fine motor skills needed for writing, buttoning clothes, and many other everyday tasks.

It was a day full of imagination, creativity, and learning through play! 🪄🐉✂️🎨

🌿🗺️ Adventure Alert! 🗺️🌿

Our Bigs transformed into nature explorers today and set off on an exciting outdoor treasure hunt! 🕵️🍃

We searched high and low to collect leaves, sticks, grass, pine cones, and all kinds of amazing nature treasures. Did you know that pine cones are actually seed pods? 🌲🤯 We sure do now!

After all that exploring, we took a relaxing swing break before heading back with pockets full of discoveries and minds full of new knowledge. 💚

There were smiles, laughter, fresh air, and plenty of “Look what I found!” moments. Days like today remind us that some of the best classrooms don’t have four walls—they’re outside! ☀️🍃🌼
