Had a great time in Capital University! I think I can speak for everyone to say the fall conference is not only informative, but also reminds us why we are in college for music education. Thank you to everyone who attended and to everyone who presented for us today!

Here's a few things that are happening as September closes and October begins!

Last week, we held a joint meeting with the BGSU ACDA chapter! We were joined by Dr. Emily Pence Brown. Dr. Brown presented on protecting your vocal health as an educator. Thank you Dr. Brown for speaking to us!

On February 17th, we were joined by our peers as they presented on woodwind instruments. We learned about instrument setup, fundamentals techniques, and identifying and correcting common beginner mistakes. Thank you Elijah, Amanda, Andrew, Nathan, Quentin, and Alex for your presentations!

On March 10th, we were joined by Lisa Galvin. We learned about composing and arranging for school choral, orchestral, and band ensembles. Thank you Lisa for joining us!

We had a wonderful time at the OMEA Professional Development Conference this weekend! It was great to learn from and speak with so many educators from across the state!

Today, some of our members volunteered at the OMEA District 1 High School Solo and Ensemble at Defiance High School!
