Hello, Hola, Ni Hao, Hallo, Bonjour, Ciao, Ahoj,
We are ecstatic to tell you that next month, Global Learning and International Affairs (GLIA) will host “Global Fest” in the Honors College and International Center (HCIC) on Wednesday March 30th from 11AM-3PM.
This international extravaganza will have the culmination of international student organizations/clubs, student-led cultural tables, studying abroad program tables, cultural exhibitions, and exciting prizes. We want to showcase the cultural richness that WKU has to offer by providing all our international and future study abroad students the opportunities to share their own cultural experience in their own unique way through tabling and performing.
You will have the opportunity to create a table that shows your home culture or the culture of where you studied abroad. You can also sign up to do a performance/demonstration during one of the day’s time slots. Some examples could include a cultural dance, sharing about a food or beverage, singing, playing a traditional instrument, or sharing some form of tradition. You may sign up to create a table AND do a performance/demonstration if you wish.
If you want to participate in this iconic event, please sign up, using this form:

The deadline to sign up for Global Fest is March 18. After signing up, leading up to Global Fest, you can come into The Agora (HCIC 1001) and work on table posters and/or performances for the event. For posters, we would like for you to highlight your country. You can tell us about your country’s capital, flag, national emblems, native food, music, or famous people from your country for example. Also if you desire , you can prepare a native dish or music from your country for visitors. Posters and poster supplies will be provided.
We are so excited about Global Fest, and we hope you are too! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Have a great day,
Khazzy Taylor Laura Bernados
