Suvik decided to create a valuable summer experience and took initiative to onboard for volunteering at the Cleveland Clinic near his home. He is assisting with procedures, stocking supplies, and supporting patients upon admission to the facility. As a pre-medicine student, this has already been a meaningful way for Suvik to jumpstart his career development. Way to support the community, Suvik! We're excited to see how your research and volunteering continues to impact the medical profession.

Addison Mullins ('29) just completed a two-week course on the Biology and Conservation of Marine Turtles at Dauphin Island Sea Lab in Alabama. Her first week at the lab included research lectures and lab projects, including weighing baby turtles. The second week was a road trip around Florida where she travelled to Mote Marine Lab in Sarasota, Marathon Turtle Hospital in Marathon Key, and Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach. She also snorkeled in Ramrod Key. Addison’s absolute top highlight was beach patrol at Juno Beach where the group observed seven nesting Loggerheads and an endangered Leatherback! What an incredible start to summer!

In addition to being a Hoskins Scholar, Eleanor also received an Honors College grant to conduct research in Barbados last summer. A cultural and clinical experience, she was able to contribute to public health and nutrition education by working in dialysis clinics and creating handouts about phosphorus levels in foods.
